Low Fuel Lamp/Indicator: Testing and Inspection

FUEL WARNING LAMP OPERATION CHECK

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump harness connector B25.
3. Connect  a resistor (80 Ohm) between fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump harness connector terminals 2 and 5.
4. Turn ignition switch ON.

The fuel warning lamp should come on. 

CAUTION: ECM might store the 1st trip DTC P0180 and the 1st trip DTC P0464 during this inspection.

If the DTC is stored in ECM memory, erase the DTC after reconnecting fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump harness connector.
