Instrument Power Unit: Testing and Inspection

INSTRUMENT VOLTAGE REGULATOR

Check output voltage of instrument voltage regulator at rear of combination meter as follows:

With the ignition key "ON", check voltage between the yellow and black wires. Ensure battery voltage.
Voltage:

Battery voltage

Check voltage between blue and black wires.
Voltage:

8.0 +/- 0.15V

4.

If battery voltage is present at the yellow and black wires, and output voltage is incorrect, replace the instrument voltage regulator.
