Thermal Vacuum Valve - EVAP: Description and Operation

    This valve, Fig. 13, is the wax pellet type. When the air passage is closed the carburetor vacuum signal is applied to the diaphragm of the EGR control
valve to actuate the taper valve connected to the diaphragm. This valve is co-used as a component for the catalyst warm-up system and evaporative
emission control system.
