1.

Raise and support front of vehicle and remove wheel.

2.

Disconnect brake line from strut.

3.

Place alignment marks on strut lower bracket and camber adjusting pin.

4.

Remove strut to steering knuckle attaching bolts, then separate strut from knuckle, Figs. 9 and 10.

5.

Remove strut to strut tower attaching nuts, then strut assembly from vehicle.

6.

Install strut assembly in a vise, then loosen strut rod locknut. Loosen do not remove.

7.

Compress coil spring using a suitable coil spring compression tool.

8.

Remove piston rod locknut.

9.

Remove spring components from strut.
