APPLIED MODEL: 1989 Sentra (B12) 4-Wheel Drive with A/T

SERVICE INFORMATION

If it is necessary to tow a 1989 Sentra 4WD (automatic transmission), specific towing methods are required to avoid damaging the transaxle. Because it
is equipped with full time 4-wheel drive, it must be towed with all wheels off the ground as follows:

1.

Using a flat bed truck

2.

Using a tow truck and a dolly in combination as illustrated below:

NOTE:

Never tow this vehicle with the front or rear wheels raised without using a dolly.

Sentra 4WD manual transmission models may be towed from the front with all wheels on the ground. For speed and distance restrictions see
Technical Bulletin TS88-150. Serious damage to the transaxle may result if the vehicle is towed from the rear with all four wheels on the
ground.
