1.

Start the engine and warm it up until the water temperature indicator points to the middle of the gauge.

2.

Operate the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes under no load.

3.

Operate throttle shaft by hand and raise engine speed to 3000 rpm.

4.

Slowly lower the engine speed to determine at what rpm the dash pot rod touches the plate on the throttle shaft.
Rpm should be:
M/T 2000 ± 200 rpm.
A/T 2400 ± 200 rpm (in "N" position).
If not within specified range adjust as needed.
