Disconnect the fuel filler signal line and recirculation line from where they connect into their hoses (see Figure 1).

Check for blockage as follows:

A.

Connect a hand vacuum pump to the recirculation line and attempt to pull a vacuum (see Figure 1).

B.

Repeat this step on the fuel filler signal line (see Figure 1 ).

If you can pull a vacuum on either line (i.e. if either line is clogged or blocked) replace the fuel filler tube assembly (see the PARTS
INFORMATION section of this bulletin for appropriate replacement part - Federal or California emissions).
