Brake Shoe: Service and Repair

WARNING:  CLEAN BRAKES WITH A VACUUM DUST COLLECTOR TO MINIMIZE THE HAZARD OF AIRBORNE PARTICLES OR
OTHER MATERIALS. 

Exploded View Of Rear Brake Assembly

REMOVAL

1. Ensure parking brake lever is released completely and remove drum. If drum is hard to remove, the following procedures should be carried out.

a. Remove plug. Then shorten adjuster to make clearance between brake shoe and drum as shown.

b. Install two bolts as shown, then tighten the two bolts gradually.
