Speedometer Module: Description and Operation
With Tachometer

With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied:

^

through 10 A fuse (No. (8) located in the fuse block [J/B])

^

to combination meter terminal (41) for the water temperature gauge,

^

to combination meter terminal (22) for the tachometer and speedometer

^

to combination meter terminal (10) for the fuel gauge.

Ground is supplied:

^

to combination meter terminal(28)

^

through body grounds (M43), (M44) and (M60).

The vehicle speed sensor provides a voltage signal to the combination meter for the speedometer. The voltage is supplied:

^

to combination meter terminals (30) and (24) for the speedometer

^

from terminals (1) and (2) of the vehicle speed sensor.

The speedometer converts the voltage into the vehicle speed displayed.
