Attach the grommet to the fuel filler hole.

5.

Remove the fuel hose protective coverings and connect the two fuel hoses using the new clamps provided in Kit A. Remove the pinch pliers.

6.

Make sure there are no leaks at the fuel filler hose and connections.

7.

Put the fuel filler tube protective cover on.

8.

Prepare the vehicle for return to the dealership.

Fuel Filler Tube Bracket Repair (If Required)

If the bracket for the fuel filler tube is not reusable, install bracket kit P/N 76767-61E85 (includes bracket, backing plate, two nuts and bolts) in one of
the two following ways.

1.

If the bracket connection to the wheel house is not corroded, use the following procedure:

A.

Leaving approximately 1/4 inch of the bracket extending out from the wheel house, cut off the damaged fuel filler tube bracket.

B.

Put the replacement bracket in position over the existing bracket. Mark and drill two 1/4 inch holes through the replacement bracket, the
existing bracket and the wheel house (see Figure 5).

C.

Mark and drill two identical holes in the bracket backing plate.

D.

Position the new bracket assembly with the backing plate on the opposite side of the wheel house. Install and tighten the two bolts and nuts
from the bracket kit (see Figure 6).
