First, position the control head toward the passenger side, then, lower the driver side of the control head (Figure 5).

Switch
1.

From above the control head, disconnect the harness from the back of the A/C switch.

2.

The switch is secured with a tab which is very easily broken. From beneath the control head, VERY CAREFULLY, pull the tab securing the A/C
switch down, as you press the back of the switch towards the front of the control head. Be careful not to break the tab (Figure 6). If the tab breaks
off, use a pocket screwdriver, from below, to release the switch.

Remove the switch by pulling it out of the face of the control head.

Re-Assembly
1.

Press the new switch into place; re-connect its electrical harness.

2.

Rotate the control head assembly back into place. Hold the control head toward the front of the vehicle and remove the tape.

3.

Re-secure the control head assembly with four (4) screws.

4.

Re-connect the two (2) harness connectors and antenna to the back of the audio assembly. Re-install the audio assembly and tray. Re-secure with
four (4) screws.

5.

Before re-installing the cluster lid, be certain all of the clips are attached to the lid, and that none of the clips are still attached to the instrument
panel.

6.

Re-connect the harness connectors to the switches on the lid; clip the lid into place and secure the lid with seven (7) screws.

7.

Re-install the ashtray.

8.

Install the A/C button.

9.

For automatic transmission vehicles, move the shifter forward.

10.

Re-connect the negative battery cable. Confirm proper operation of the switches on the cluster lid, the A/C switch, and the audio assembly (if
necessary, re-program the audio pre-sets).
