Pull the carpet down and fold back the rubber insulation flap (see Figure 1).

Measure the "Free" height from the metal floor to the top-center of the pedal (pedal all the way up).
NOTE:
The "Brake Pedal Height Tool" J-46532 (an "essential tool") is available from TECH-MATE.

Position the Brake Pedal Height Tool as shown in Figure 1.

Pedal height should be:

182.3 mm-192.3 mm.

Preferred setting is about 187 mm.

If pedal height adjustment is needed, refer to section BR in the Service Manual (ESM) for height adjustment information.
CAUTION:
After any free height adjustment is made, make sure the brake light and cruise switches are re-adjusted and the clevis pin has some free
play.
