Additional Information for Non VDC Equipped Titans
The non-VDC Titans have a "Brake Assist feature built into the brake booster which has the following operating characteristics:
^
Brake Assist is activated when the brake pedal is depressed quickly or hard (for example during a panic stop).
^
The brake pedal may have a "light" effort feel when the Brake Assist system is activated.
^
The Brake Assist feature is deactivated simply by fully releasing the brake pedal.
^
Correct brake pedal free height adjustment is necessary for best pedal feel.
When Brake Assist is activated (by pushing the pedal quickly/hard) while the vehicle is parked or not moving:
>
the brake pedal stroke can seem relatively long
>
a "click" sound may be heard or felt when it activates.
