Alternator: Service and Repair
Removal And Installation

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the fan shroud.
3. Remove the drive belt.

4. Remove lower bracket, using power tools.
5. Remove the generator upper bolt, using power tools.
6. Disconnect the generator harness connectors.
7. Remove the generator.

INSTALLATION

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Install the generator and check tension of drive belt. Refer to "Tension Adjustment".  See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts,
Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Adjustments

CAUTION:  Be sure to tighten B terminal nut carefully.

Torque : 10.8 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 8 ft-lb)
