Apply some Nissan Brake Cleaner to a clean, lint-free shop rag and clean the ABS sensor mounting surface (see Figure C3)

NOTE:

If needed, clean the flange/O-ring sealing surface on the axle housing with a wire brush ONLY.

Return to the "Repair Flow Chart" for further instructions.

Procedure D: Axle Shaft Re-Assembly

Requires: Axle Grease Seal Kit P/N 43252-0W025

1.

Install the new axle shaft seal in the axle housing (see Figure D1):

Use "Seal Installer (Inner)" special tool # J-341 15 to install the seal.

Make sure the seal is fully seated in the axle housing and the face of the seal is facing outwards.
