With a small, flat screwdriver, pry the connector-locking clip to unlock the connector (see Figure 1).

Pull both connectors from the steering wire assembly (spiral cable).
Note:
When ordering the new parts:

Make note if the vehicle is equipped with ASCD or radio remote control at the steering wheel.

Install the new driver side air bag module and new steering wire assembly (spiral cable).

Refer to the Parts Information for the correct part number.
^
Use new bolts (either anti-theft or hex head) to fasten the driver side air bag module.

Connect the air bag harness connector as follows:

Make sure the harness locking clip is raised as shown in Figure 2.
