Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection
Loosen fuel tank filler cap, then raise vehicle & disconnect fuel pump electrical connector. Start engine & operate until fuel supply is depleted.
Crank engine for approximately 3 seconds, then place ignition switch in off position. Connect fuel pump electrical connector, then disconnect
battery ground cable. Disconnect fuel line quick connect fittings, then install a suitable fuel pressure test gauge. Tighten fuel tank filler cap &
connect battery ground cable. Place ignition switch in On position & check for leaks at gauge connections. With ignition switch in On position
note fuel pressure reading.
