Tape Player: Service and Repair
For the best operation of the cassette tape deck, do not use cassette tapes longer than 100 minutes in playback time (50 minutes per side). Cassette tapes
longer than 100 minutes may cause the following problems:

Tape slippage
^
Jamming
The following 2 parts are cleaned on a tape player:
^
The head
^
The capstan
IMPORTANT: Do not contact the tape head with magnetized tools A magnetized tape head causes the degrading of every cassette played in the player.
The head and the capstan may be cleaned through the tape door. Cleaning may take place while the tape player is in the vehicle. Perform the cleaning
service after every 15 hours of operation.
In order to clean the head and the capstan, use one of the following items:

A cotton swab dipped in ordinary rubbing alcohol

A cleaning cassette
The dealer does not perform service on the tapes. Warranty of the tapes is handled by the tape manufacturer. Store test tapes in the following manner:

In the tape container
^
Away from extreme heat
^
Away from direct sunlight
