Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure 

Caution:  Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions. 

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the tube bracket to the rear cam carrier lift bracket bolt.
3. Remove the tube from the block.

Installation Procedure 

1. Install the tube to the block. 

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the tube bracket to the rear cam carrier lift bracket bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 8 Nm (72 inch lbs.). 

3. Install the negative battery cable.
