Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
A/C REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The A/C pressure sensor is located on the condenser end of the compressor hose. A Schrader valve is located in the A/C pressure sensor fitting.
Tools Required
J 34611-A A/C Valve Core Remover and Installer
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Refrigerant/Service and Repair
2. Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor from the fitting.
4. Remove and discard the O-ring.
5. If necessary remove the service port valve core using J 34611-A.
