1.1.

Use Special Tool J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover to pry out the retainer at the top of the upper trim (shark fin) panel
from the door inner frame.

1.2.

Lift the upper trim (shark fin) panel up to remove.

2.

Install an 80 mm (3.1 in) long, 12.7 mm (1/2 in) wide strip of non-conductive protective material (2) such as 3M Dual Lock (TM) (loop side), P/N
06483, or equivalent, to the metal edge of the front side door inner frame.

3.

Install the front side door upper trim (shark fin) panel (1).

3.1.

Insert the tabs into the slots on the door trim panel.

3.2.

Insert the push-in retainer into the door inner frame.

4.

Verify that the speaker(s) or the speaker system functions properly.
