Condition
Some customers may comment on reduced HVAC performance. When the HVAC control is set on HI, the amount of air flow, heat and/or windshield
clearing may be reduced.
Cause
The reduction in HVAC performance may be due to a wet passenger compartment air filter (3). Water coming off the windshield (1) may run under the
air inlet grille panel and then between the windshield frame lower reinforcement and the plenum upper panel in the area of the 3 spot welds (2). It then
drips onto the passenger compartment air filter (3).
Correction
Seat the windshield frame lower reinforcement and the plenum upper panel joints located above the passenger compartment air filter with one of the
seam seaters listed in this bulletin. Dry out or replace the air filter, P/N 25654414.
