Aurora V8-4.0L VIN C (1996)
Resetting TP sensor learn will trigger DTC P1526. Resetting transaxle oil life will trigger the Change Trans Fluid message. Resetting engine oil life
will trigger the Change Engine Oil Now message. The TP sensor learn can be relearned by following the DTC P1526 table. The transaxle oil life may
be reset to its previous value using PCM transaxle oil life override. The engine oil life may be reset to 100 by displaying the Oil life left and pressing
the Reset button. The transaxle adapts will be relearned during normal operation. The odometer must be reset with a scan tool.
PCM Diagnosis
OVERVIEW
After the visual inspection is complete, the Powertrain OBD System Check should be performed. This Powertrain System Check will provide direction
for diagnosis of the following:

PCM inoperative or damaged, no PCM data or SERVICE ENGINE SOON MIL inoperative.
^
PCM DTC(s).
^
Fuel System Rich or Lean.
^
Customer Complaint Driveability Symptoms. The Powertrain OBD System Check is designed as a Master table for driveability and emissions
system diagnosis. The System Check should always be used as the starting point for all Powertrain diagnosis. Refer to OBD System Check.

Driveability problem

Engine will not start or stalls after start. UNDERSTANDING THE TABLE AND USING IT CORRECTLY WILL REDUCE DIAGNOSIS
TIME AND PREVENT THE UNNECESSARY REPLACEMENT OF PARTS.
