F), in which the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system hoses freeze up. This condition can cause engine oil leaks through the oil level indicator
tube and/or the rear main seal. Engine failure may result if the vehicle is driven with this condition.
WHAT WE WILL DO
To prevent this condition from occurring, retailers are to replace the PCV valve on all affected vehicles with a higher flow calibrated valve.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
Contact your Oldsmobile Retailer to arrange a service date. Instructions have been sent to your Retailer. It is estimated that parts will be available to your
retailer January 1994. Please ask your retailer if you desire an estimate of the total time needed to schedule, process and return your vehicle. Included in
this time would be about 15 minutes for a technician to replace the PCV valve.
Please give the enclosed owner reply card to your retailer to identify your vehicle and the condition which needs correcting. It you no longer have this
vehicle, please let us know by filling in the card and mailing it back to us. The postage has been prepaid for you.
Also enclosed is an information sticker for your Oldsmobile Bravada owner's manual. This sticker should be placed on the page in section 6, "Service
and Appearance Care", that has the "Service Replacement Part and Filter Recommendations", to avoid improper PCV valve usage in the future.
Should your retailer not schedule a service date within a reasonable time, please call Oldsmobile Customer Assistance (1-800-442-6537). Deaf, hearing
impaired, or speech impaired persons with telecommunications devices for the deaf (TDD/TTY) may contact Oldsmobile Customer Assistance at
1-800-TDD-OLDS (1-800-833.6537). They will assist you and the retailer in getting your vehicle corrected.
If your retailer and Oldsmobile Customer Assistance are unable to remedy the condition within a reasonable time, you may wish to advise the

To ensure your full protection under the emission warranty made applicable to your vehicle by Federal Law, and your right to participate in future
recalls, it is recommended that you have your vehicle serviced as soon as possible. Failure to do so could legally be determined to be lack of proper
maintenance of your vehicle. Also, your vehicle may tail a state or local emission inspection test if the recall work is not accomplished.
Should your retailer find that your emission system has been intentionally disabled, you will be asked it you wish the system to be restored so that it will
function as designed. The cost of such restoration will be your responsibility.
