Some 1991-1992 Bravadas may exhibit an itch type noise at the top of the rear door. The "itch" may occur between the upper auxiliary weatherstrip seal
and top of the door (at the header).
To correct this condition, it may be necessary to replace the rear side door upper weatherstrip assembly with a new weatherstrip assembly which is
smaller in width. The smaller width seal will help eliminate the possibility of the door contacting the seal, causing an itch type sound at the top of the
door.
The new design parts have been installed in Bravadas built after vehicle number N2708388.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
1.
Remove the upper auxiliary weatherstrip seal by pulling it from the door. Refer to view A in the illustration.
2.
Use either a 50-50 mixture (by volume) of water and isopropyl alcohol; or flash naphtha to clean the affected sheet metal surface and remove any
remaining glue residue.
3.
Use heat to dry the solvent on the affected sheet metal.
