3. Remove fuel tank filler cap to relieve any fuel vapor pressure, then reinstall the fuel tank filler cap and tighten until an audible "click" is heard.

4. Disconnect the radiator pressure test cap from a Radiator Pressure Test Pump - Kent Moore J 24460-01, or equivalent.

5. Remove the fuel vapor canister purge hose from the canister fitting marked "TANK". Insert the threaded end of the Radiator Pressure Tester

Hose into the fuel tank vapor purge hose.

6. Pressurize the fuel tank and emissions system with 30 strokes of the Radiator Pressure Tester Hand Pump. The pressure gage on the pump will

indicate a low amount of pressure. Note the location of the needle in relationship to the gage and monitor for one minute. If the emissions system,
fuel tank filler cap and fuel tank sender seal ring are correctly installed there should be no loss of pressure.

CAUTION:
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, USE A SHOP AIR HOSE IN PLACE OF THE RADIATOR PRESSURE TESTER HAND PUMP.
OVER PRESSURIZING OF THE FUEL TANK OR EMISSIONS SYSTEM COULD LEAD TO SYSTEM LEAKAGE OR DAMAGE. IF AN
IGNITION SOURCE IS PRESENT, A FIRE COULD OCCUR.

7. After one minute, slowly remove the fuel tank cap while listening for pressure being released past the filler cap threads.

- If release of pressure is evident, the seal ring has not been displaced. Go to step 8. Stop after completing step 10.

- If no pressure is detected when the fuel tank filler cap is removed, it wll be necessary to remove the fuel tank to replace the fuel tank sender

seat ring. Perform step 8 (immediately following this step), then proceed to Service "Procedure "B", Replacement of the Fuel Sender Seal
Ring".

8. Disconnect the Radiator Pressure Tester Hand Pump hose from the fuel tank purge hose and reconnect the purge hose to the fuel vapor canister.

9. Reconnect the negative battery cable. If a memory retention device was not used, please reset (to the extent possible) all devices that lost their

memory after the battery was disconnected.

10. Install a Campaign Identification Label.

PROCEDURE "B", REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL SENDER SEAL RING:

CAUTION:
GASOLINE OR GASOLINE VAPORS ARE HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. IF AN IGNITION SOURCE IS PRESENT A FIRE COULD OCCUR. HAVE
A DRY CHEMICAL (CLASS B) FIRE EXTINGUISHER NEARBY.

Drain fuel from tank (see page 6E2-C2-19 of the 1991 Oldsmobile Bravada Service Manual).

CAUTION:
NEVER DRAIN OR STORE GASOLINE IN AN OPEN CONTAINER, DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION.

2.

Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Follow the "Vehicle Lifting Procedures" and "NOTICE" provided on page OA-10 of the 1991 Oldsmobile Bravada
Service Manual.

3.

Remove the fuel tank plastic shield and loosen the filler neck hose clamp at the fuel tank.
