Knee Diverter: Service and Repair

Knee Bolster

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Set the parking brake and block the wheels.
2. Negative battery cable.
3. Release the parking brake release cable from the parking brake lever.
4. Left-side and center instrument panel sound insulators. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Instrument

5. Screw that retains the courtesy lamp the knee bolster.
6. Screws that retain the knee bolster to the instrument panel.
7. Lap cooler duct.
8. Lighter outlet electrical connector.
9. Knee bolster from the vehicle.

Knee Bolster

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Lighter outlet electrical connector.
2. Lap cooler duct.
3. Knee bolster to the vehicle.
4. Screws that retain the knee bolster to the instrument panel.

TIGHTEN

Torx® head screws to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

Hex head screws to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).

5. Courtesy lamp and screw that retains the courtesy lamp the knee bolster.

TIGHTEN

^

Screw to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
