Replacement of First Design Console Trim Plate

Built Prior to VIN 384106
When replacing the console trim plate, it may not fit the console.
The second design locating pins are not in the same position as the first design.
Modify the first design console to accept the second design console trim plate using the procedure below.
Procedure
1.
With the console trim plate removed, locate the left side center attachment point on the drivers side of the console adjacent to the shifter.
2.
Using a suitable tool, cut out the material between the slot and the hole, connecting the two together. Refer to the illustration above.
3.
Remove the locating pin from the underside of the new console trim plate next to the right rear mounting screw hole in the trim plate.
4.
Install the new console trim plate.
