Position latch in vise and bend latch arm at point B as necessary to obtain correct latch arm to center support contact as was determined in step 1
of Part E. Refer to Figure 4.

Re-install latch and torque attaching bolts to 11 N-m (8 ft.lbs.).

Slowly lower hood and observe where latch contacts front end support.

If latch properly contacts front end support, proceed to Part F of this service procedure.

If latch does not properly contact front end support, repeat Part E, steps 1 thru 5.

Verify Primary and Secondary Hood Latch Operation
1.
Open, and then fully close hood. Pull hood release handle located inside car and verify proper operation of the primary latch pop-up lever and
secondary latch.

Primary Latch Pop-up Lever
Pop-up lever should raise hood enough to allow access to secondary latch finger pad.

Secondary Latch
Secondary latch should be engaged in opening of the front end support. Pushing finger pad of secondary latch upward with fingers will
allow hood to open.

After verifying proper operation of the primary latch pop-up lever and secondary latch, install campaign identification label, Part G.

Install Campaign Identification Label
Each vehicle modified in accordance with the instructions outlined in this service procedure will require a campaign identification label. Each label
provides a space to include the campaign number, the five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service, and the date vehicle
was campaigned. This information may be inserted with a typewriter or ballpoint pen. Install the label on the radiator baffle where it is readily
visible.
