Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Left Side (Front)
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Air cleaner.
3. Mass Airflow Sensor.
4. Heat shield.
5. Exhaust crossover pipe.
6. Manifold bolts.
7. Exhaust manifold.
CLEAN
^ Mating surfaces at cylinder head and manifold.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Manifold bolts just enough to hold the manifold.
2. Exhaust crossover pipe to manifold.
Tighten
^
Bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.).
3. Heat Shield.
Tighten
^
Bolts to 10 Nm (90 in. lb.).
4. Mass Airflow Sensor.
5. Manifold bolts - 34 Nm (25 ft. lb.).
6. Air cleaner.
7. Negative battery cable.
