SERVICE ACTION:
When servicing the input clutch housing and shaft assembly on a 1984 through 1988 THM 440-T4 transaxle use the new seal installation tools, J 37361
and J 37362 (Figure 3). The previous design tools, J 34091 and J 34092 will work on 1984-86 transaxles only.
SERVICE MANUAL REFERENCE:
Use Figure 3 to update information contained in your 1987 and 1988 THM 440-T4 Automatic Transaxle Unit Repair section.
SERVICE NOTES:
For warranty purposes, when replacing the input clutch inner piston seal and 3rd clutch inner piston seal use labor operation K7535. For this operation,
refer to the appropriate labor time guide for applicable labor time information.
