Disconnect the grille (3) from the fascia (2) by pulling upward on the grille.
4.
Remove the two upper push-in retainers (2) from the left splash deflector.
Position the deflector out of the way by pulling the top downward.
5.
Reposition the hood release cable (1) from below the splash deflector to above the splash deflector.
6.
Reinstall the two splash deflector push-in retainers (2).
7.
Reinstall the grille into the fascia and reinstall the push-in retainers on the upper edge of the grille.
8.
Close and reopen the hood to insure proper operation.
Service Procedure (Oldsmobile Cutlass)
1.
Open the hood.
2.
Raise the vehicle on the hoist.
