Trunk / Liftgate Switch: Service and Repair
Deck Lid Release Switch
Deck Lid Release Switch
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Disable SIR system.
3. Snap deck lid switch from instrument panel with a blunt tool.
4. Electrical connector.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Electrical connectors
2. Switch into instrument panel.
3. Enable SIR system.
4. Negative battery cable.
DISASSEMBLE
1. Insert key into ignition switch cylinder and rotate to the RUN position.
2. Press the cylinder release plunger (located at the 4 O' Clock position) on the ignition switch.
3. Pull cylinder from the ignition switch with the key.
ASSEMBLE
1. Cylinder to ignition switch, verify engagement and operation with the key.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Ignition switch.
2. Ignition lock cable to ignition switch.
3. Electrical connectors.
4. Ignition switch bolts.
5. Instrument panel cluster.
6. Instrument cluster trim plate.
7. Upper steering column cover.
8. Accessory trim plate.
9. Ignition switch trim ring.
10. LH Sound Insulator.
11. Enable SIR system.
12. Negative battery cable.
13. Reprogram the Body Function Controller. Refer to Reprogramming Procedure - Auto - Learn in Theft Deterrent System. See: Accessories and
