Refrigerant Oil: Capacity Specifications
REFRIGERANT OIL DISTRIBUTION
V-5 compressor systems require 270 ml (9 oz) of PAG synthetic refrigerant oil GM P/N 12345923 or equivalent. During component replacement and
conditions stated, new oil quantities should be added to the system as follows.

Compressor replaced

If less than 30 ml (1 oz) is drained - add 60 ml (2 oz) to the new compressor.

If more than 30 ml (1 oz) is drained - add the same amount that was drained to the new compressor.

Accumulator replaced.

Add 30 ml (1 oz) more than was drained from old accumulator.

Evaporator replaced.

Add 90 ml (3 oz) or new refrigerant oil.

Condenser replaced.

Add 30 ml (1 oz) of new refrigerant oil.
