Front Wheel Alignment
Preliminary Inspection
Camber and toe-in are the only adjustments that can be performed on these vehicles.
Front Camber Adjustment
The camber angle is adjusted by loosening the strut cam bolt and the through bolt, then rotating the cam bolt to move the upper portion of the steering
knuckle inward or outward. When correct camber angle is obtained, torque cam and through bolts to 140 ft. lbs. When performing this adjustment, the
top through bolt must be loosened to prevent damage to the outer cam guide.
Front Toe Adjustment
Toe-in is controlled by tie rod position. Adjustment is made by loosening the nuts at the steering knuckle end of the tie rods and rotating the rods to
obtain proper toe-in setting. When adjusting toe-in, the tie rod boot clamps must be removed. After correct toe-in setting is obtained, torque tie rod nuts
to 45 ft. lbs.
