Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove horn button or pad.
3. Disconnect horn pad and lead by pushing down and turning counterclockwise.
4. On models equipped with air bag, remove air bag inflator module as outlined under Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental
Restraint Systems).
5. On all models, remove retainer and steering wheel retaining nut.
6. Using steering wheel puller tool No. J-1859-03 or equivalent, remove steering wheel. With steering wheel controls, puller bolts should not be
turned in more than five complete turns.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
