Temperature Warning Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation
The Temperature light receives battery voltage from the ignition switch through the gauge fuse. The ECM controls the temperature light by providing a
ground path to energize the bulb. The temperature light will illuminate if the key is in the "ON" position, engine not running as a bulb check, to make
sure the bulb is not burned out. The temperature light will also light if the coolant temperature exceeds 123~C (253~F).
