Injector Part Number Location

Injector Installation

NOTE:  Different injectors are calibrated for different flow rates.  When ordering new fuel injectors, be sure to order to order the identical part number
that is inscribed on the old injector.

INSTALLATION:

1.

Lubricate new injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil, and install them on the injectors.

2.

Install new injector retaining clips on the injectors.

^ Position the open end of the clip facing the injector electrical connector.

3.

Insert the injectors into the fuel rail assembly.

^ Push the injector in far enough to engage the retainer clips with the machined slots on the injector socket.

4.

Install the fuel rail assembly to the manifold, see FUEL RAIL ASSEMBLY.

5.

Connect the negative battery cable.

6.

With the engine OFF and the ignition ON, check for fuel leaks.
