Heater Core: Service and Repair

Less A/C
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2.
Disconnect heater hoses.
3.
Disconnect electrical connectors from heater module.
4.
Remove module front cover screws.
5.
Remove heater core from module.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.With A/C
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2.
Disconnect heater hoses from core.
3.
Remove retention bracket and ground strap.
4.
Remove module rubber seal and screen.
5.
Remove right hand windshield wiper arm.
6.
Remove attaching screws from the diagnostic connector, hi-blower relay and thermostatic switch.
7.
Disconnect all electrical connectors from top of module.
8.
Remove top cover from module.
9.
Remove heater core from module.
10.
Reverse procedure to install.
