Blower Motor: Service and Repair

BLOWER MOTOR

Remove or Disconnect

1. Battery negative cable.
2. Right side sound insulator panel.
3. Blower motor electrical connector.
4. Blower motor mounting screws.
5. Blower motor.

Install or Connect

1. Blower motor and mounting screws. 

Tighten

Screws to 20 N.m (14 lb. ft.).

2. Electrical connectors.
3. Right side sound insulator panel.
4. Battery negative cable.

BLOWER MOTOR FAN

CAUTION: Do not hammer on motor to remove or install fan. Do not apply force to motor housing to seat tan on motor, or motor/shaft
bearing damage could result. Do not apply pressure to fan rim. Be sure correct replacement part is used.

Remove or Disconnect

1. Metal star clip retaining fan cage.
2. Fan cage from blower motor shaft by pulling straight Out.

Install or Connect

1. Fan cage onto shaft.
2. Metal star clip retainer to shaft.

Adjust

Fan cage, using spacers, to a clearance of 7.5 mm (0.30 inch) to motor mount plate.
