7. With AC: compressor rear brace
8. Necessary electrical leads
9. RVB/ILC/EGR solenoid assembly and Idle Load Compensator and bracket assembly

10. EGR valve
11. Intake manifold bolts

Clean

Intake manifold and cylinder block mating surfaces

Install or Connect

Replace all gaskets.

1. Apply 1050026 sealer or equivalent to both sides of the manifold gasket,
2. Apply 1052915, GE 1673 or equivalent RTV sealer to the front and rear seals.
3. Gasket to cylinder heads
4. Seals to block
5. Intake manifold
6. Lubricate bolts with engine oil.

Bolts in sequence

^

20 N.m (15 lbs. ft.)

Then tighten to 54 N.m (40 lbs. ft.)

7. EGR valve. Tighten bolts to 27 N.m (20 lbs. ft.). Bend over lock tabs.
8. RVB/ILC/EGR solenoid assembly and Idle Load Compensator and bracket assembly
9. Electrical leads

10. With AC: compressor rear brace
11. Generator rear brace
12. Cables:

Throttle

13. Hoses and pipes:

^

AIR (if equipped)

^

Vacuum

^

Fuel

^

Heater

^

Upper radiator

14. Air cleaner
15. Fill cooling system
16. Negative battery cable

Adjust
Tool required:
BT-7825 or J-23600B Belt Tension Gage

Drive belts.

Inspect

^

For leaks
