The repaired or exchange unit will be returned to your dealership for reinstallation in the owner's vehicle.
OLDSMOBILE WARRANTY CLAIM
The returned unit will have with it the dealer's copy of the AC-Delco form, properly completed. An Oldsmobile Warranty Claim is to be submitted for
the R&R of the unit along with the freight charges. The dealer copy of the ACD 1078 A and the freight receipt or shipping invoice are to be retained in
accordance with requirements detailed in the current Oldsmobile Service Policies and Procedures Manual.
If the repair is done by the dealer, or sublet to other than an AC-Delco Service Center, credit will be allowed on an Oldsmobile Warranty Claim.
Allowances for such repairs are included in the Labor Time Guide. Sublet repair charges should be included on the claim and the sublet bill retained in
the usual manner.
An additional 0.2 hour sublet administrative allowance will be paid if applied for when radios are repaired under warranty by an AC-Delco Service
Center or another qualified service outlet. This additional time should be added to the published time allowance in the Labor Time Guide and entered in
the "labor hours" column of the Oldsmobile Warranty Claim form.
UNUSUAL RADIO INTERFERENCE CONDITIONS
It is the responsibility of the dealership to diagnose and repair radio interference conditions caused by other components on the vehicle. In unusual cases
where the dealership has been unable to determine the cause of the interference, it may be necessary to sublet the repairs to an AC-Delco Service Center.
The dealership will be responsible for the cost of repairs made by the AC-Delco Service Center. Prior authorization should be obtained for such repairs
before the sublet repair costs are submitted on a warranty claim.
"DELCO-GM/BOSE MUSIC SYSTEM"
This system (UU8) is available in the 1988 Ninety-Eight and Toronado. The system consists of a radio receiver and four (4) speaker enclosures, each
containing an amplifier module and speaker.
The radio receiver and/or amplifier module should be submitted to the AC-Delco Service Center when a repair is required. Speakers should be serviced
separately by the dealership.
