THE TIMING CONNECTOR MAY BE LEFT DISCONNECTED FOR THE NEXT STEP.

Install spark bypass relay kit, part no. 14086983 (1983-84). Detailed instructions are included in the kit package. Reconnect the timing connector
from Step 2.
4.
Remove and discard the fuse labeled "crank" from the fuse block no. 2 position (3 amp fuse) (1983-84).
5.
Install new spark plugs, part no. 5614009 (1983-84).
6.
Install starting procedure label, part no. 14085150, on headliner side of driver's sun visor. Required on all 1983 models and as required on 1984
models (installed in production mid-1984).
THE OWNERS OF FIRENZA MODELS SHOULD BE ADVISED COLD WEATHER STARTING PERFORMANCE IS ALSO DEPENDENT ON
THE USE OF 5W-30 SF OIL AS SPECIFIED IN THE OWNERS MANUAL.

reimbursements, do not list parts or labor; instead, show the amount of reimbursement in the Sublet column.
OWNER NOTIFICATION
Owners of vehicles registered in certain northern states will be notified by letter of this Special Policy by Oldsmobile Division (refer to copy of owner
letter in Special Policy Bulletin). However, all subject vehicles are covered by this Policy regardless of where they are registered or operated.

To All Oldsmobile Dealers:
Oldsmobile Division is releasing Campaign 85-C-04 involving certain 1985 Ninety-Eight models assembled with an original equipment 107 battery. The
battery may leak acid causing possible corrosion of components in the area of the battery.
To reduce the possibility of this occurring dealers are to replace the 107 battery and any battery acid affected component will be cleaned or replaced.
