Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1.  Harmonic Balancer.
2.  Pry out seal with a suitable tool.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

Tool Required: J23O42 Seal Installer.
1.  Lubricate seal with clean engine oil.
2.  Insert in Timing Cover with lip facing the engine.
3.  Insert Tool J23O42 and drive seal into place.
4.  Harmonic Balancer. 

Tighten
^

Bolt to 90-115 Nm (67-85 ft. lb.)

INSPECT

^  For fluid leaks.
