Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 

1. To diagnosis the cooling fan circuit, refer to Diagrams.
2. Remove the cover from the underhood accessory wiring junction block.
3. Locate the cooling fan relay(s) and/or fuse(s) that are to be replaced. Refer to the inside of the cover for correct placement of the cooling fan relays

and the fuse that protect each circuit.

4. Remove the cooling fan relay and/or fuse by pulling straight out.
5. Visually inspect the fuse(s) for a broken or melted element.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 

1. Replace any fuse with the a fuse of equal current rating.
2. Replace any inoperative cooling fan relays with the same type.
3. Install the cooling fan relay and/or fuse by inserting straight in.
4. Install the cover to the underhood accessory wiring junction block.
5. Verify completion of repairs.
