Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement (Front Wheels)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 

IMPORTANT:  The front wheel speed sensors and rings are integral with the hub and bearing assemblies.
If a speed sensor or a ring needs replacement, you must replace the entire hub and bearing assembly. Do not try to service the harness pigtail
individually because the harness pigtail is part of the sensor.

1. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Wheel Removal in Suspension.

3. Remove the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector (2).

4. Remove the hub and bearing assembly (2). Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Bearing Replacement in Front Suspension for removing

hub/bearing/speed sensor assembly.
