Heater and A/C Control Panel
With Manual A/C (C61)
The heater and A/C control is the vehicle operator's control point for the manual air conditioning system. The heater and A/C control includes a rotary
knob to select the system operating modes (OFF, MAX A/C, NORM A/C, BI-LEVEL, VENT, HEATER, DEFOG, DEFROST), a temperature control
and fan speed rotary knob and a rear defogger switch.
With Automatic A/C (C68)
The heater and A/C control allows the vehicle operator to communicate with the electronic A/C system. The heater and A/C control includes soft touch
buttons to select operating modes, a temperature increase/decrease rocker switch, a fan speed increase/decrease rocker switch, an english/metric display
switch, an external temperature display switch, the rear defog control switch and a vacuum fluorescent information display panel. When the park lamps
or headlamps are turned on, the buttons and rocker switches are illuminated.
Passenger Control (Dual Zone)
The passenger temperature control consists of a rotary potentiometer with seven positions. The control head communicates directly with the A/C
programmer through varying an analog voltage.
Turning the knob to the right or left causes the A/C system to begin operating in the dual zone mode. The passenger can raise or lower passenger side
discharge air temperature by turning the knob in the appropriate direction.
Discharge air temperatures could be different from side to side when not in dual zone mode, due to greater sun load on one side of the vehicle.
VF Display
The heater and A/C control allows the vehicle operator to communicate with the electronic A/C system. The heater and A/C control includes soft touch
buttons for the various system operating modes, a temperature increase/decrease knob, a fan speed increase/decrease knob and a vacuum fluorescent
(VF) information display panel. When the parklamps or headlamps are turned on, the buttons and knobs are illuminated.
