Diagnostic System Check

System Diagnosis

Perform the Diagnostic System Check.

Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS

1. Check I/P Fuse Block AUTO A/C/CRUISE Fuse 5A and MISC/RDO/CLSTR  Fuse 9C by visual inspection.
2. If the Driver Information Center (DIC) displays  a bulb outage ,always refer to the Lamp Monitor Bulb Table before proceeding with the

diagnosis. See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics

3. Check that all bulbs sharing same circuit are the correct type and that connections in the bulb circuit clean and tight.
4. If a single bulb outage  is not displayed by DIC check that open bulb and bulbs in parallel are correct type.
5. Check that ground G105 clean and tight.
6. If bulb  outages are displayed when all bulb are good, check that all bulbs sharing a circuit  are correct type and connections in bulb circuit are

clean and tight. If OK replace, the Adaptive Lamp  Monitor Control Module.

7. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.

Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove "GOOD" in a
continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. These circuits may be intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be
checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).

Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
