Wheel Fastener: Service and Repair
Front Suspension

J 6627-A Stud Remover

-

Or Equivalent

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT  

1. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
2. Wheel and tire.
3. Brake caliper; support caliper.
4. Rotor.
5. Using J 6627-A, press out stud.
6. Remove stud at inner most notch in knuckle on caliper side of knuckle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT  

1. New stud, using washers and wheel nuts.
2. Rotor.
3. Caliper, and tighten caliper bolts to 51 Nm (38 ft. lbs.). 
4. Wheel and tire. Tighten wheel nuts to 140 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower vehicle.
