Throttle Body Assembly Removal and Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Drain the radiator coolant.
2. Remove the air intake tube.
3. Remove the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, Throttle Position (TP) sensor, and Mass air Flow (MAF) sensor, electrical connectors.
4. Remove the accelerator control and cruise control cables from the throttle body lever and bracket.
5. Remove the electrical harness retainer clip from the accelerator control cable bracket.
6. Remove the vacuum lines from the throttle body noting location.
7. Remove the throttle body support bracket.
8. Remove the nuts and bolts holding the throttle body to the intake manifold using a wrench on the manifold side of the inserts to prevent the inserts
from rotating in the manifold casting.
9. Remove the throttle body assembly.
CAUTION: Do Not use solvent of any type when cleaning the gasket surfaces on the intake manifold and the throttle body assembly, as damage
to the gasket surfaces and throttle body assembly may result.
